Nothing lasts to long

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update, and the past few weeks have been nothing short of overwhelming. Since her last hospital stay, Nathalia has been admitted multiple times, the most recent being on Monday, March 11, due to tachycardia and a dangerously high heart rate. Seeing her tiny heart beating at 200–230 BPM was terrifying. Before that, she had been hospitalized for a urinary tract infection, and shortly after coming home, she was readmitted again with aspiration pneumonia. Each time, we hold our breath, praying she finds the strength to push through.
We are incredibly grateful for all of your prayers, support, and love. It means more than words can express. We know Nathalia’s condition is lifelong, and while we can’t wish it away, all we hope for is strength, stability, and some sense of balance in our lives.
Trying to manage work, Nathalia’s constant care, and staying together as a family has been an unimaginable challenge. She requires an extraordinary level of attention, and while we do everything we can to stay close, the reality is that our family has to split a in ways that is either Dad or mom at the hospital with Natalia. Our three-year-old, Luciana, is struggling to understand why Daddy isn’t home at night, why Mommy doesn’t sleep in the house, why our once simple joys—Sunday breakfasts and lunches together—aren’t happening anymore. She doesn’t understand, and as parents, that’s one of the hardest things to witness.
Right now, we’re just taking things one day at a time, holding on to hope, and doing our best to create a new version of normal. It’s not easy, and it hurts more than we can say, but we are holding on to the love that keeps us going.
